About the data
Who Owns This Plane? is a free lookup of the FAA's public aircraft registry, published by MMR Internet, LLC.
Source
The FAA Civil Aviation Registry publishes its releasable aircraft database every night: registered aircraft, deregistered aircraft, reserved N-numbers, and the aircraft and engine reference tables. Our copy is from Oct 30, 2026, with 316,685 registered aircraft.
What we leave out
For aircraft registered to individuals or co-owners, we show the owner's name, city and state, but not the street address, even though the FAA publishes it. Companies, trusts and government agencies are shown with their registered address.
Accuracy
The registry depends on owners filing changes, and some records lag a sale or move. The FAA's Aircraft Inquiry is the authoritative record. To correct a registration, contact the FAA Aircraft Registry. Questions about this site: admin@whoownsthisplane.com.
